BLACK STAR BOTTLES SERVED IN SAN FRANCISCO

Brew flows at Bloodhound. Black Star has arrived in San Francisco.

When the first new batch of Black Star was brewed in February, it seemed like drinking a bottled Black Star in San Francisco at a well known bar was kinda like the New Orleans Saints winning the Super Bowl. Er wait, they did win the Super Bowl. So, maybe it wasn’t that far off of a thought.

Last Tuesday, May 4, Bloodhound hosted a Black Star beer tasting event for about 200 people. The new cans and bottles were opened with vigor and anticipation. People seemed to enjoy the brew and we were excited to share. People got very thirsty as the event progressed thanks to Chad Newman of Parcel BBQ. His slow smoked ribs and brisket, served with homestyle tater salad and a citrus slaw were absolutely incredible. Voices got loud and conversations were enthusiastic as the future of Black Star was discussed. Music could still be heard over the chatter (One of the best playlists ever created : J Roddy & The Business, Edward Sharp, Johnny Cash, Black Keys, Willie Nelson, Animal Collective to name a few) so the collection of people drank Black Star into the night. The crowd started to dissipate later but we know it was because people had had their fill. Happiness.

Black Star is very excited to share the brew with the people of San Francisco and more cities in the Pacific Northwest. If you are looking for the nearest place to pick up a six pack, check out the beer locator on the site.

So to that, we stand by the single sentence, maybe an ode or proclamation to the experience or ritual of BEER! — Black Star reminds of you one thing and one thing only. – Enjoy Beer.
