Black Star Beer is proud to sponsor Blue Bear Live VI, a benefit for youth music education. Blue Bear Live VI, the sixth annual youth music benefit concert, features New Orleans’s legendary group the funky METERS - in their first Bay Area appearance in more than two years - plus special guests on Friday May 20 at Bimbo’s 365 Club. Talented Blue Bear youth bands will jump start this special evening with rocking performances.

Blue Bear Live is a wonderful party that draws support from our community - 30,000+ strong since the school was established in 1971 - and benefits the innovative outreach programs at partner sites in public schools and community centers, Summer Camps, youth scholarships and sliding scale tuition support for low-income students.

Please join us for this exciting event and help Blue Bear School of Music continue the 40-year legacy of bringing innovative and affordable music education programs to anyone, regardless of financial means, who is motivated to sing, play or craft a song.
