What are two of our favorite things? Beer and music, of course. We’re proud to announce that Black Star Beer is sponsoring Willamette Week’s 8^th annual Best New Band. In order to choose 10 bands that will rock the stage for one night, Willamette Week asks Portland’s music scene insiders to pick their favorite breakthrough acts of past year. Each year the list is vastly different, but nevertheless a snapshot of what’s making the local community buzz.

The Best New Band will take place at Mississippi Studios at 9pm on Friday, May 6^th. The list of bands will be released on May 4^th so stay tuned. Admission to Best New Band is 21+ and free! How awesome is that? Be sure to get there early to enjoy music from the hottest bands in Portland right now and drink some chilly Black Star Beers!
